2. What varieties and sizes are available?

Win Schuler's Cheese Spreads come in five varieties: Original Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, Bacon Cheddar, Fiesta Cheddar, and Lite Original Cheddar. All varieties are available in an 8oz. tub, while Original, Sharp and Lite Original are also available in 14oz. tubs. In addition, Original is available in a 2lb. party size.

3. Which is the Original Bar-Scheeze?

Win Schuler's Cheese Spreads originally started in the mid 1950's with only one item which was called Win Schuler's Bar-Scheeze. Over the years the formula for that product has remained the same. However, the package designs and the Bar-Scheeze logos have evolved to today's package that does not include the Bar-Scheeze logo. In the current line up of product Win Schuler's Original Cheddar Cheese Spread is the formula that was originally introduced and has been so very popular over these many years.

4. Can I freeze the product?

We do not recommend freezing the product. If frozen the product will still be edible, however, it will lose much of the flavor and texture that makes Win Schuler's unique.

5. How long can I keep it out of the refrigerator?

Win Schuler's is a fairly stable product, therefore, having it out during a party (3 to 5 hours) will not significantly effect the product. However, it should be returned to the refrigerator within a reasonable time. We recommend disposing of product left out overnight.

6. How long does it last after being opened?

If refrigerated consistent with other cheese and dairy products, Win Schuler's Cheese Spread will last at least as long as the best if used by date on the bottom of the package. However, once opened, the product could be exposed to outside elements (e.g., other foods, used utensils). Therefore, if you have a concern about a particular tub that has been used, we would recommend disposing of it.

7. Can you use the product past the "best if used by" date?

Yes. The date on the package reflects optimal flavor delivery. The product, in the absence of any contaminates after opening, could still be consumed up to 3 months beyond the best if used by date. After that we recommend disposing of the product.

8. How can I mail the product?

We have a mail order company that handles our products. Their information is provided below. If you would like to ship the product yourself, we recommend sending the product via overnight delivery in a box containing blue ice pack(s) (not dry ice) or small doubled plastic bags with ice cubes.
